This is a fantastic, large, 4″ yellow flower, that shades to white on the edges. There is a reddish band on the back side of the petals that can show slightly through. This is a very easy to cultivate plumeria, making it a great one for beginners. This plumeria is probably best known for the strong scent of peaches. A great beginner plant or one for any collector not having experienced this wonderful variety. ROOTED plants—NOT GRAFTED— from 13″-18″ measured from the soil line.

I grew Aztec Gold in Roseville, CA with great success. It has a distinctive peach fragrance and extremely large flowers that sometimes are a little floppy. The red line on the backs of petals is a great addition making the buds stand out in flower clusters. My only complaint (not really a fault of the variety) is that it grew very vigorously with thick 12″ to 24″ branches sometimes longer before flowering and branching again. It bloomed reliably. Perhaps if I had grown it with more sun it would have been more compact, though my other varieties were more compact in the same setting. Cuttings rooted easily.
