This is a most rare and exceptional beauty! The 2.5-3″ flower is not actually blue, but rather a pastel shade of purple. The buds are deep purple, opening to pastel purple with an light, orange-reddish center. The flowers appear in tight bunches and the scent is very strong and sweet with fruity overtones. This plants forms a semi-compact tree with somewhat shorter looking, extremely pointed 8-10″ long leaves. It prefers to have some shade as opposed to full sun. In order to enjoy the unique, yet very sensitive coloration of the flowers, the plant must be placed in at least a half day’s shade–preferable afternoon.Otherwise the flowers can fade more quickly. This is a limited offer as I was only able to cut a small number from me tree this year. Rooted plants, NOT GRAFTED— 12″-15″ tall, measured from the soil line.
