Chonemorpha fragrans (Plumeria or Frangipani vine)

Scent your entire yard for the summer! When plants are a couple of years old they produce huge numbers of flowers that smell incredible!! For best results plant next to a large tree and let it take off. This beauty produces flowers that smell exactly like, and, look very similar to the famous Singapore White plumeria, except it’s a vine! This is an exotic and uncommon relative of the plumeria. It produces large clusters of 4+” pure white blooms with a pretty golden center and a lovely, sweet fragrance—the scent is identical to that of Singapore White plumeria–very strong, and can fill your garden with perfumed sweetness to enjoy. It has large, attractive, deep green, shiny, somewhat fuzzy leaves with prominent veins. It grows well in full or partial sun. This plant should be grown on structures such as a trellis or arbor/pergola, or allow it to ramble up tall trees(ours is growing on a large oak tree–beautiful!)). This wonderful vine, flowers profusely from May – July. Just like its cousin the plumeria, this plant goes dormant in the subtropical climate and usually loses leaves if temperature gets below 45 F. It is fairly cold tolerant, surviving a few days in the 20s here in a outdoor planting where it is climbing a tree(tree afforded some protection)—-it grew back nicely–and quite quickly. This vine is very attractive once established.  Easy to ship bare-rooted and get established once at their new home.
